American college football season
The 2024 East Carolina Pirates football team represents East Carolina University in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Pirates were led by Mike Houston in his sixth year as the head coach for the team's first seven games. The Pirates play home games at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, located in Greenville, North Carolina.
On October 20, head coach Mike Houston was fired after back-to-back blowout losses to Charlotte and Army. Defensive coordinator Blake Harrell was named the team's interim head coach.
