30th season in franchise history
The 2024 season is the Jacksonville Jaguars ' 30th season in the National Football League (NFL), their fourth full season under the leadership of general manager Trent Baalke and their third under head coach Doug Pederson . The Jaguars failed to improve on their 9–8 record from the previous two seasons after a Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings dropped them to 2–8, and a loss to the Detroit Lions the following week made the Jaguars the first team to secure a losing record in 2024, suffering their first losing season since 2021 . The Jaguars were eliminated from playoff contention after the Denver Broncos won in Week 13.
