- – Latest planned opening of the west section of Line 5 Eglinton in Toronto, Ontario.
- – Line D of the Prague Metro is expected to be completed from Pankrác to Písnice.
- – Paris Metro Line 15 to become a circular line, connecting back to Pont de Sèvres from Saint-Cloud.
- – Planned completion of the Helsinki–Turku high-speed railway.
- – Planned completion of the Delhi–Varanasi high-speed rail corridor.
- – Scheduled completion of the Naniwasuji Line in Osaka, which will connect the JR Yamatoji Line (Kansai Main Line) and Nankai Main Line with Shin-Osaka Station.
- – Manila LRT 1 to extend to Niog from Dr. Santos.
- – Cluj Napoca Metro to start operations between Tara Motilor and Munchii and branch to Depou Sohor.
