Not to be confused with the Russian mathematicians Alexandre Vinogradov (of Vinogradov sequence ) or Ivan Vinogradov (of Vinogradov's theorem ).
In this name that follows Eastern Slavic naming customs , the patronymic is Ivanovich and the family name is Vinogradov .
Askold Ivanovich Vinogradov (Russian : Аско́льд Ива́нович Виногра́дов; 1929 – 31 December 2005) was a Russian mathematician who worked in analytic number theory . The Bombieri–Vinogradov theorem is partially named after him.
