Ali Haidar Ahmed is a Maldivian politician who is the incumbent Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development.
Early life and education
Haidar obtained his Bachelor in Town and Country Planning from the University of Manchester and his PhD in Planning Studies from the University College London.
Career
Haidar served as the Housing Minister for three months, at the end of Maumoon’s administration. He later endorsed Mohamed Muizzu during the 2021 Malé city Mayor election, he was later appointed as the Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development in 2023.
