Ambastaia is a genus of botiid loaches native to Mainland Southeast Asia and China. The species in this genus were formerly included in Yasuhikotakia.

- Ambastaia nigrolineata (Kottelat & X. L. Chu, 1987)
- Ambastaia sidthimunki (Klausewitz, 1959) (Dwarf botia)
