The aircraft is made from tubing, with the wing covered in polyester sailcloth. Its 10.6 m (34.8 ft) span wing is a "topless" design, lacking kingpost and the associated flying wires. The nose angle is 130° and the aspect ratio is 7.7:1. The Milan Racer has a broad hook-in weight range of 60 to 115 kg (132 to 254 lb).

The aircraft is DHV certified.
