Brandon Holt (born April 6, 1998) is an American professional tennis player. Holt has been ranked as high as world No. 180 in singles by the ATP, which he achieved in May 2023. He also attained his career-high doubles ranking of No. 473 in February 2020.

The son of former world No. 1 Tracy Austin, Holt played collegiate tennis for the University of Southern California from 2016 to 2020, where he was named an All-American athlete by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for three consecutive seasons, before turning professional shortly thereafter. Since 2015, he has won 12 singles and doubles titles on the ITF Men's World Tennis Tour. In 2022, Holt qualified for his first Grand Slam tournament on his first attempt at the US Open and made headlines after upsetting 10th seed Taylor Fritz in four sets in the first round.

Career

2022: Grand Slam debut

Ranked No. 303, Holt made his Grand Slam debut at the 2022 US Open as a qualifier after defeating Dimitar Kuzmanov in the last round of qualifying. He won his first Grand Slam level match, upsetting 10th seed Taylor Fritz. This was also Holt's first career win on the ATP Tour.

2023: Australian Open and Masters debuts

In January 2023, Holt qualified and made his debut at the 2023 Australian Open, defeating Marco Trungelliti in the last round of qualifying. He recorded his first win at this Major after defeating fellow qualifier Aleksandar Vukic in five sets.

He qualified for the 2023 Dallas Open but lost to J.J. Wolf in straight sets. He made his main draw debut at the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells as a wildcard, losing in straight sets to Thanasi Kokkinakis.

2024: Maiden Challenger final, Back to top 250

He qualified for the 2024 Los Cabos Open but lost to fellow qualifier Aleksandar Kovacevic in straight sets.

Following two Challenger finals, he returned to the top 250 on 22 July 2024. Ranked No. 200, he also qualified for the main draw of the 2024 Cincinnati Open having received a qualifying wildcard. He also received a wildcard for the qualifying competition for the US Open.

Personal life

Holt is the son of Tracy Austin, a former WTA World No. 1 and two-time US Open Women's Singles champion.
