Chloroselas esmeralda, the Somali gem, is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It is found in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Yemen and Oman. The habitat consists of arid savanna.

The larvae possibly feed on Acacia tortilis.
