Chris Locke is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor, most noted as the winner of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-Up at the 15th Canadian Comedy Awards in 2014.
Biography
A native of Toronto, Ontario, he began his comedy career in the mid-2000s. He has performed at comedy festivals and undertaken his own solo tours, and has released two solo comedy albums, The World is Embarrassing (2014) and Demons Are Eating My Head (2016).
He is a frequent collaborator with Seán Cullen, including the short comedy albums Chris and Seán are Tony and Keith in Nature and Chris and Seán are Tony and Keith in Horror, and joint comedy shows.
In 2018, he premiered the comedy web series Learning Nature with Chris Locke, on Funny or Die. The series, in which Locke tries to create a nature documentary despite not knowing anything about the subject, was a Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Web Series, and Locke was a nominee for Best Performance in a Web Series, at the 19th Canadian Comedy Awards in 2019.
In 2024, he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Lead Performance in a Comedy Film at the 12th Canadian Screen Awards, for his role in the film Who's Yer Father?.
He has been a guest on Stop Podcasting Yourself, and hosts the podcast Happy Good with Chris Locke.
He is married to comedian and actress Kathleen Phillips.
