Deepavali is a 2008 Indian romantic drama film directed by Hari Babu and starring Venu Thottempudi, Megha Nair and Aarti Agarwal.
Plot
A village man, who does not celebrate Deepavali, falls in love with a woman while traveling to Delhi.

Production
Cast and crew
The film began production in November 2007. Ernakulam-based model Megha Nair made her debut with this film. The film was shot prior to Aarti Agarwal's marriage although it released afterwards. Ogeti Ramana was supposed to be the music director before he was replaced with Vandemataram Srinivas.
Filming
The film began shoot in Secunderabad. Most of the film was shot in a single schedule. Some of the songs were shot in foreign locations in Southeast Asia. The climax scene was shot for three days at an aluminum factory in Gachibowli in May 2008 with Master Vijay choreographing the stunts. As of 24 May 2008, the entire film was shot except for a song.

Release
The film was planned to release in June 2008. The film was eventually released on 26 November 2008 alongside R. Narayana Murthy's Devarakonda Veerayya and Nagendra Babu's Ek Police.
