Joe Lieberman (February 24, 1942 – March 27, 2024) was an American politician, having served as a United States Senator from Connecticut from 1989 to 2013. A former member of the Democratic Party, he was the party's nominee for Vice President in the 2000 election. Later on, he became an Independent.
