Evan Doll is an American software engineer and entrepreneur, best known as the co-founder of Flipboard, a social news application.
Early life and Education
Evan Doll grew up in California, where he attended Healdsburg High School. He later pursued higher education in computer science, laying the foundation for his career in software development.
Career
In 2003, Doll began his career at Apple Inc., where he worked as a senior software engineer. During his tenure at Apple, he contributed to the development of the iPhone's operating system, playing a key role in shaping the mobile platform.
In 2010, Doll co-founded Flipboard alongside Mike McCue. The platform gained popularity as one of the first social news applications, allowing users to curate and personalize their reading experience by aggregating content from various sources. At Flipboard, Doll focused on software development, product design, and strategy.
In 2015, Doll departed from Flipboard. The following year, he rejoined Apple as the director of health software engineering, where he worked on advancing the company's health-related software initiatives.
