Explosion, also known as Equals Explosion, is the second studio album by The Equals, released in December 1967.
Two songs on the album were originally written by recently deceased Bobby Fuller for his group The Bobby Fuller Four. The starting track, "Giddy Up a Ding Dong" was originally a '50s number by Freddie Bell and the Bellboys. All of their original numbers were written by either Eddy Grant, Derv Gordon, or Lincoln Gordon (all three wrote four tracks, Grant-only wrote two, Grant-D. Gordon wrote one, and D. Gordon-L. Gordon also wrote one).
The album's catalogue number is PTLS 1015.

Reception and legacy
Explosion was rated 3.54 / 5 on Rate Your Music, and 4.17 on Discogs. Their track "Police On My Back" was covered by The Clash in 1980.
