Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, has been played in the African Military Games since the forst edition in 2002 as a men's competition sport.
History
The first edition was held in 2002 in Nairobi, Kenya with participation of seven teams. Eritrea military team wins the tournament beating Guinea in the final. In the second edition of 2022 in Abuja, Nigeria. Only four teams taked part to the tournament.
