Functional Diamond is an open access and peer-reviewed academic and scientific journal published by Taylor & Francis. It publishes papers on the latest technology breakthroughs in diamond-based materials, structures and composites, as well as fundamental insights and new findings toward advanced functionality in physics, chemistry, materials science, biology, and engineering. It is the official journal of the Zhengzhou Research Institute for Abrasives & Grinding Co., Ltd., China. The editors-in-chief are Meiyong Liao, Chief Researcher of the National Institute for Materials Science, and Haitao Ye,  Professor of Materials Engineering at School of Engineering, University of Leicester.
