History

Germanville Township was created from Chatsworth Township in September 1868 as Germantown Township. The name was changed to Germanville Township on July 22, 1879.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 22.95 square miles (59.4 km), of which 22.94 square miles (59.4 km) (or 99.96%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km) (or 0.04%) is water.
