Heliadornis ashbyi is known from remains in Maryland in the United States and Antwerp province in Belgium. The latter were from the BrusselsAntwerp motorway between Berchem and Wilrijk. A second species, Heliadornis paratethydicus has been described from Upper Miocene strata in Vösendorf, Austria.
