Fictional character biography
Hephaestus is the Olympian Gods' blacksmith whose history is largely the same as his mythological counterpart. Post-Crisis, Hephaestus forged Wonder Woman's golden Lasso of Truth and bracelets.
In The New 52, Hephaestus is assisted by a group of laborers who were abandoned male children from Themyscira. Wonder Woman attempts to release them, but they choose to stay.
