Hypancistrus inspector, commonly known as the snowball pleco, is a species of armored catfish native to Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil where it occurs in the upper Negro and upper Orinoco River basins. This species grows to a length of 12.59 centimetres (4.96 in) SL.
