Ismail Mahmoud Hurre (Buubaa) (Somali: Ismaaciil Maxamuud Hurre ; (c. 1943 – 5 April 2023) was a Somali politician who served as foreign minister of the Transitional Federal Government from mid-2006 to early 2007. He was appointed to that position on 21 August 2006. He previously served as foreign minister from 2000 to 2002, during the beginning of the transitional government.

Buuba was born in Hargeisa and spent the first four years of his life in the Aware region of Ethiopia. He received his primary education in Borama. After completing high school, he received a scholarship to study in the United States, where he completed his first and second-level studies at the university. After completing his studies, Ismail Mahmoud Hurre became a teacher and worked in schools in the country and at King Abdulaziz University. He also worked for a while in the Arab League.

Hurry died on 5 April 2023, at the age of 80.
