Itivand-e Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان ایتیوند جنوبی) is in Itivand District of Delfan County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Qomesh. The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Kahriz-e Varvasht.

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Kakavand District) was 6,400 in 1,196 households. There were 5,864 inhabitants in 1,196 households at the following census of 2011. The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,150 in 1,299 households. The most populous of its 77 villages was Kahriz-e Varvasht, with 670 people.

In March 2022, Itivand-e Jonubi and Itivand-e Shomali Rural Districts were separated from the district in the establishment of Itivand District.
