Jacques Neirynck

Jacques Julien Neirynck (born 17 August 1931) is a Belgian-Swiss writer, politician, and emeritus professor at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).

Neirynck was born in Uccle, Brussels, Belgium in 1931. He studied electrical engineering at UCLouvain, eventually graduating with a PhD in 1958 and then becoming a professor. Around 1994, he became a Swiss citizen.

He is a member of the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland. He was a member of the National Council between 1999 and 2003 as well as between 2007 and 2015.
