James Bouvias Pruitt (born January 29, 1964) is a former professional American football wide receiver who played six seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins from 1986 to 1988 and 1990 to 1991, and the Indianapolis Colts from 1988 to 1989. He was selected by the Dolphins in the fourth round of the 1986 NFL draft. He finished his career in the Canadian Football League (CFL) playing for the Ottawa Rough Riders and Sacramento Gold Miners.
