Kel Ajjer (also Kel Azjar, Kel Azjer) is a Tuareg confederation inhabiting western Libya and eastern Algeria. Their main stronghold was Ghat, followed by Ubari, both in the Fezzan region of southwestern Libya. The Kel Ajjer speak Tamahaq, or Northern Tuareg.
