Kihniö is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the region of Pirkanmaa. The municipality has a population of 1,694 (31 October 2024) and covers an area of 390.50 square kilometres (150.77 sq mi) of which 33.39 km (12.89 sq mi) is water. The population density is 4.74 inhabitants per square kilometre (12.3/sq mi).

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
