Kraig Dominick Bonanken (born 6 August 1998) is an American soccer player currently playing as a midfielder. Although he plays primarily as a central midfielder, he can also play attacking midfielder or centre-back.
College career
Bonanken originally played for the academy of FC Golden State Force before graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School. He played college football for two teams, first playing with the Mount San Antonio College Mounties in 2017, where he made 16 starts and 22 appearances overall. From 2019 to 2022, he played for the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos, where he was selected for the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team in 2021.
Club career
Los Angeles Force
In 2022, Bonanken signed for National Independent Soccer Association club Los Angeles Force.
Stallion Laguna
In February 2023, it was announced that Bonanken signed for Philippines Football League side Stallion Laguna, which was the club of his former teammate Gabriel Silva. He made his debut for the club in a 1–1 draw with Dynamic Herb Cebu, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3–0 win over Mendiola 1991 a few weeks later.
Personal life
Bonanken was born in California to Bolivian parents, making him eligible to represent Bolivia at the international level. His favorite footballer is Xabi Alonso.
