Liam MacDevitt is an English television presenter and former footballer. Most known for his work as a Reporter on BBC's Football Focus and Match of the Day X.
Prior to working as a journalist he had a career as a professional footballer.
Career
On 1 July 2012, MacDevitt signed a two-year contract with Yeovil Town. In his first year he scored twice against Oxford United in the FA Youth Cup, the game finished 4-2 to Oxford United. MacDevitt was named in the first team against Exeter City on 11 August 2012.
In his second year, Yeovil Town were promoted to the EFL Championship, Yeovil then subsequently closed their academy. MacDevitt joined Swindon Town, Bristol City, Farnborough, Stoke City, and Livingston on youth loans.
In 2015 MacDevitt joined Gosport Borough in the National league South scoring on his debut in a 6-3 victory against Sholing.
MacDevitt then joined St. Albans City on a free transfer. Making his debut in a 1-0 loss against Ebbsfleet United.
In 2018 MacDevitt joined Southern United in the ISPS Handa Premiership, In January 2019 he was transferred to Tasman United.
On returning to the UK in 2019 MacDevitt joined Stalybridge Celtic.
Ahead of the 2020/21 season he signed for Bury AFC as the club's second ever signing.
