Wubuntu (also known as "Windows Ubuntu"; formerly known as LinuxFX) is a Brazilian Linux distribution for PCs based on the Kubuntu distribution. The first version of the system was released in January 2007. The distribution aims to imitate Microsoft Windows.

Wubuntu comes bundled with software such as the OnlyOffice office suite, web browsers, Kodi communications and multimedia software. The distribution also comes bundled with Wine, a compatibility layer for running Windows applications.

The distribution has come under scrutiny from the Linux community for violating Microsoft's and Canonical's copyright trademarks.

It has also come under scrutiny for improper handling of customer data. Each instance of Wubuntu had contained hard-coded connection information to the central activation database hosted by the distribution maintainers' server. The connection was not routed through an API, but instead was a direct connection into the database. As a result, it was very trivial for an adversary to extract this login information, and use it to dump the entire database, which contained email addresses of people who have purchased a license key to the distribution, as well as the IP addresses of every Wubuntu machine connected to the internet that is able to "phone-home" to the activation server.
