Main article: Auckland Transport

In 2022, Auckland Transport purchased four diesel ferries that were in dire need of repair from Fullers, and is upgrading them to reduce their emissions. There are plans to commission five new hybrid-electric ferries, with the first two expected to arrive in 2025.
