Notes
- Siaosi Tupou I had a number of other wives but he repudiated most of them by 1834 and Queen Sālote was his only wife married in Christian rites.
- Although Siaosi Tupou II practiced monogamy, he had affair with other women, fathering a few children, whose descendants are greatly prominent today in both Tonga and Fiji.
