Merivale is a rural locality of the Shire of Esperance in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, located along Le Grand Beach, on the Southern Ocean. The northern boundary of Cape Le Grand National Park forms the southern border of Merivale.

The traditional lands of the Wudjari and Njunga people, both of the Noongar nation, occupy most of the Shire of Esperance, including the area around Esperance. The eastern tribes of the Wudjari, the Njunga, are seen as a separate people for cultural reasons, having adopted different cultural practices. The Young River, in the west of the shire, forms the boundary between the two groups and Esperance and Merivale are on the traditional land of the latter.

Le Grand Beach, which runs from Wylie Bay, in Bandy Creek, via Merivale to the Cape Le Grand National Park, is used as an access road to the national park for Four-wheel drive vehicles.
