Mohammed Tajo Othman is a Nigerian politician, Academic and retired Assistant Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service who is currently serving as a Commissioner, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations, Kano State since 2023, he was appointed by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kano State Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf

Career

Mohammed Tajo began his career as Library Officer in 1977 at the then Gumel Advanced Teachers College. In 1982 Mohammed Tajo Moved to Kano State Institute for Higher Education, as Senior Librarian and in 1987 he moved Kano State Polytechnic as Principal Librarian and left as acting Chief Librarian in the year 1987 when he Joined Nigeria Customs Service where he stated career as Assistant Comptroller and retired on 22 June 2012 as Assistant Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service and entered politics.

Politics

Mohammed Tajo was appointed as Special Adviser to Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso between 2012 and 2015. After the 2023 Nigerian general election Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf the Executive Governor of Kano State Appointed Tajo as Commissioner Ministry of science, Technology and Innovations
