NET88 is a Vietmanese betting firm founded in 2015. The firm has been in the midst of several controversies since 2024.

History

NET88 was founded in 2015 by Minh Châu. The UK trademark was filed on 13 March 2024. In 2024, NET88 became the sponsor of Premier League club Crystal Palace for a two-year deal, replacing previous sponsor Cinch. NET88 had little online presence before the deal, and didn't have an Twitter account until June 2024.

Controversy

In the days following Crystal Palace's announcement, NET88 received large criticism. Trademarks for NET88 and Wolverhampton Wanderers' sponsor DEBET had been filed in the same day. In addition, the image shown for Minh Châu in their website was in reality one of a Vietnamese TikToker named Đặng Ngọc Bích Tuyền, who perished in 2023.
