Robert Longerbeam (born January 18, 2001) is an American football cornerback for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Early life and high school

Longerbeam attended T. C. Williams High School located in Alexandria, Virginia. Coming out of high school, Longerbeam was rated as a three star recruit, where he decided to commit to play college football for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

College career

During Longerbeam's first two seasons in 2020 and 2021, he appeared in 18 total games, notching 30 tackles, ten pass deflections, and two forced fumbles. In the 2022 season, Longerbeam tallied 36 tackles with eight pass deflections and two interceptions in ten games while making six starts. In week seven of the 2023 season, Longerbeam had a career game, notching four tackles, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in a win over Michigan State. During the 2023 season, Longerbeam started every game for the Scarlet Knights where he totaled 43 tackles with 11 pass deflections and an interception.
