Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic

The relationship between Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and Syria is regarded as a close-range relations between two countries. Syria officially recognized SADR on 15 April 1980.

History

Syria has historically provided political support to the Polisario, a Sahrawi group fighting against Morocco. Syria remains firmly on Western Sahara's side and has officially recognized the SADR.
