History

The first church of St. Paraskeva in the village of Kozyna was built in 1730. The church was consecrated by at. Lisenetskyi. In those years, the parish of Kozyna was a subsidiary parish of the village of Kokoshyntsi. Archival sources state that during the years of at. Semen Liakhovych's ministry, "an old wooden church and bell tower burned down in Kozyna, and in 1864 a new church was built of oak wood...".

  • 1946–1993 – the church was subordinated to the ROC.
  • 1960 – the state authorities closed the church.
  • 1993 – the parish of Kozyna resumed its activities in the bosom of the UGCC. The parish is a subsidiary of the parish of Krasne.
