Salami Rural District (Persian: دهستان سالمی) is in Khanafereh District of Shadegan County, Khuzestan province, Iran. It is administered from the city of Khanafereh.
History
After the 2006 National Census, Khanafereh Rural District was separated from the Central District and renamed Salami Rural District in the establishment of Khanafereh District, which was divided into two rural districts.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2011 census, the rural district's population was 14,848 in 3,343 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,504 in 2,734 households. The most populous of its six villages was Salami, with 3,019 people.
