Salomonia cantoniensis is a flowering plant belonging to the family Polygalaceae. It is an annual erect herb seen in grassy areas, open areas in primary and secondary forests and along roads and paths. The plant is distributed in Thailand, Eastern India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma, Southern China, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam (type), Sumatra, Malay Peninsula, Java, Borneo and Philippines.
