Services Preparatory Institute (Marathi: सैनिकी सेवापूर्व शिक्षण संस्था) is a Public Military School located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 1977 by the Government of Maharashtra with the objective of preparing students for careers in the Indian Armed Forces. The institute focuses on academic, mental, and physical preparation for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) National Defence Academy (NDA) written examination, as well as the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.

Students of the institute pursue their Higher Secondary education (11th and 12th grades) at Stepping Stones High School in Aurangabad, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Previous batches of cadets have attended Government Arts and Science College at Kille Ark, Aurangabad (GASCA), and Padmashree Shankar Bapu Apegaonkar English School, Aurangabad (PSBA), for their academic studies.

In 2019, 13 SPI cadets were selected to National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.

In 2020, over 13,000 applicants in the race for 60 seats at SPI in Aurangabad.

In 2020, 22 cadets from SPI in Aurangabad made it to Indian Armed Forces.

In 2021, SPI got 5,779 applications for 60 seats.

In 2021, 11 SPI cadets make it to NDA and INA.

In 2023, 44 cadets of SPI cracked the UPSC-NDA exam.

In 2024 37 out of 57 cadets of SPI 47th Course cracked UPSC NDA exam further studying for SSB interview currently.

From 2023, a separate SPI for girls is established at Nashik by the Maharashtra Government. 3 girls out of 27 from the 1st course of GSPI cleared the UPSC-NDA written exam.

Maj. S Firasat (Retd) is the officiating as the Director at SPI. She also handles the proceedings of GSPI at Nashik.
