Sharifabad (Persian: شريف اباد) was a village in, and the former capital of, Howmeh Rural District of the Central District of Abhar County, Zanjan province, Iran. The capital of the rural district has been transferred to the village of Nurin.

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 5,521 in 1,467 households. Sharifabad did not appear in the censuses of 2011 and 2016.
