Sona Shahinyan is an Armenian professional footballer who played as a defender. She played for the Armenia women's national team. Shahinyan joined the Armenian National Team in 2010 after playing for both the U17 and U19 levels. Shahinyan wears number 16. During her career, she played for FC. Furman, Yerevan in 2007-2008 and then FC. Urartu, Yerevan in 2008-2010.

She was first discovered at the age of 13, and had been first selected for the U17 and U19 before joining the national team of Armenia in 2010. Shahinyan is a defender wearing number 16. She played with the football club FC Furman, Yerevan 2007-2008 and then FC. Banants, Yerevan in 2008-2010.
