Takabbur is a Pakistani drama serial that fist aired on A-Plus Entertainment in 2015. Written by Shahzad Javed and Nooran Makhdoom, the series is produced by Six Sigma Entertainment.

Synopsis

Takabbur follows the story of Mehru, the beloved yet proud daughter of Hakeem Ahmed, a stubborn and egoistic man burdened by debt and fearful of losing his property to creditors. Mehru's cousin Asad loves her and wishes to marry her, but Hakeem rejects him solely due to his dark complexion. Several times, Mehru faces embarrassment while being dressed as a bride, all because her father is determined to find a wealthy match to alleviate his financial troubles. This drama highlights the harsh reality of a father using his daughter as a pawn while professing to love her deeply. The central questions are: who will ultimately marry Mehru? How will her father manipulate her after marriage? What will become of Mehru's future?
