Talkdesk is a software as a service company that provides cloud-based call center software. Based in San Francisco, the company was founded in Portugal in 2011 by Tiago Paiva, who is the current CEO, and Cristina Fonseca.
In 2018, Talkdesk became the third company of Portuguese origin, after OutSystems and Farfetch, to achieve unicorn status, with its valuation rising to 1.25 billion dollars. By 2021, its valuation had increased to 10 billion dollars.
