Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kangar, Perlis, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for association football matches. The stadium holds 20,000 people and opened in 1995. It is currently the home stadium for Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League club, Perlis United. The stadium was built for the purposes of the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship.
Famous footballer in the world who has played in the stadium are; Walter Samuel, Esteban Cambiasso, Juan Román Riquelme, Pablo Aimar and Lionel Scaloni during the tournament.
After the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final seeing Argentina emerged as victory, head coach Lionel Scaloni was seen wearing the 1997 Argentina jersey that he won in the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship.
