Tyler J. Kliem (Yiddish: טײַלער קלײַם; born 2002) is an American Yiddishist, translator, and graphic designer.
Early life and education
Kliem was born in Camden, New Jersey in 2002 and raised in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. He is Ashkenazi Jewish. His mother is of Polish-Jewish descent.
Kliem graduated from Nottingham High School in 2020. He graduated in 2024 from the University of Pennsylvania. Kliem was a Jewish Media Fellow for New Voices and Ayin Press, the latter in which he published Joseph Bovshover translations.
He obtained a Fulbright Scholarship to study the Yiddish avant-garde at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
