Dr. Uday Narkar is an Indian communist politician, playwright and author. Currently he is the secretary of the Maharashtra unit of Communist Party of India (Marxist). He formerly served as the secretary of Kolhapur district committee of CPI(M). He is also the Editor of the CPI(M) Maharashtra state weekly 'Jeevan Marg'.

Notable works and career

He is the translator of several books from English to Marathi and vice-versa. He was a faculty in Yashwantrao Chavan College, Kolhapur for 16 years and was a senior producer in ETV-Marathi for 4 years.
