"With the head uncovered" is an anthology of prose works by the most outstanding Ukrainian women authors of the 19th and 20th centuries, edited by Vira Ageyeva. The book includes prose by Olga Kobylyanska, Lesya Ukrainka, Dniprova Chaika, Hrytsko Grigorenko, Ulyana Kravchenko, Nataliya Romanovych-Tkachenko, Katria Grynevicheva, Iryna Wilde, Nina Bichuya, Lyubov Ponomarenko, Maria Matios, Evgenia Kononenko, Galyna Pagutyak, Lyudmyla Taran, Oksana Zabuzhko, Oksana Lutsyshina. The first edition of the collection was published in 2013, the second in 2014.
The book contains novels by 16 modern and postmodern female authors. It accumulates the experience of Ukrainian female artists - contemporaries of the women's struggle for creative independence, the interwar change of values, and the process of post-Soviet self-identification.
Significance of the anthology
The book contains the works of female authors who have become portraits of Ukrainian literature. It covers the period of increasing participation of women in European and directly Ukrainian literary activity.

Structure of the book
The book consists of the "Foreword" written by V. Ageeva, and defining novels of the presented authors. Each work is preceded by a photo (portrait), years of life, and a brief biography of the proposed female artist. The collection comprises 416 pages.
