Qmpaz
Alqmpaz is a dress worn by men in the Levant area (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine). Town people usually wore this to all occasions but it's more worn by the rich and educated and senior dignitaries of the town and who have a social status and popularity among town population.
It is a piece of cloth resembling Jellabiya , but it is open from the front, and from top to bottom and it has a tab of 3 cm width that ends with a button loop, wraps the neck from the front, from the right to the left where the tab ends and buttoned.
"Alqmpaz" is padded on the inside, in the upper part with Satin weave. A meter long belt made of silk is worn around the waist. The belt is usually colored with burgundy or black and sometimes it is decorated with simple patterns. A jacket or a bisht made of coarse cloth is sometimes worn with Qmpaz.
