The First Srettha Carbinet formally known as the 63rd Council of Ministers (คณะรัฐมนตรีไทย คณะที่ 63), was formed after the 2023 Thai general election on 14 May 2023. The election resulted in no single party having a decisive majority in the parliament. In the initial period, MFP took the lead in forming a coalition government by gathering support from 6 political parties, later increasing to 8. However, the coalition fell short of obtaining a majority vote during a parliamentary session, preventing their proposed Prime Minister candidate, Pita Limjaroenrat , from being approved.

Subsequently, MFP relinquished the task of forming a government to the PTP. Pheu Thai Party, after canceling the aforementioned agreement, managed to gather support from 11 political parties in the new round of negotiations. They then nominated Srettha Thavisin, a former Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of "Sansiri Public Company Limited," as the 30th Prime Minister.
